"Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, THEN God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ." Philippians 4:6-7 TPT
Anxiety and worry has the effect of pulling us in all different directions. Worrying destroys our quality of life and can ruin our health. This is one reason we're told not to worry.

If you think about it, how many things that we've wasted time worrying about never happened?
Or that were situations out of our control?
How did worrying help?
It never does - worry makes no difference to the situation and it only harms us.
The verses quoted above give us a far more productive solution to worry. God tells us to talk to Him about our problems in a specific and faith-filled way, thereby putting the ball in His court.
He does that - because He is able to help us and we are supposed to live as if we have a Heavenly Father, who loves us and is willing and able to help us.
He takes the burden of it away when we talk to Him about it, and ask for His help, and replaces it with His perfect peace. It's a miraculous spiritual process designed by God!
"...THEN, (after we've prayed), God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ."
Philippians 4:7
He shows us how to get out of the cycle of worry through talking to Him about it in prayer and giving it to Him.
"Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
It's not always easy for us, especially if we've had a lifetime habit of worry. It's something we have to do on purpose every time, but He's made a way for us to live in peace.
Because God is our Heavenly Father, He cares about every detail of our lives.
Jesus tells us not to worry and encourages us to think about how much our Heavenly Father cares for every detail of our lives. (Matthew 6:25-34)
The more we practice this the better we get at it! Set time aside to do this. Find out what His Word promises about your situation and give it to God believing that He will help.
